How do I use my Gift Voucher to pay for an order?

When you receive your RUMAH MODE gift voucher it's a good idea to register it to your account straight away. This will add the credit to your account immediately, ready for you to spend.

Register a Gift Voucher

  1. Log into My Account and click on the Gift Cards & Vouchers tab.
  2. Click on the Add Gift Card/Voucher tab, select Gift Voucher and enter your 16-digit voucher code.
  3. Save Gift Voucher.

Once the gift voucher has been added to your account, it can't be transferred to another account.

Using a Gift Voucher

To pay for an order with a Gift Voucher, you have 2 options:

Option 1 - Any vouchers already linked to your account will show under the Promo/Student Code or Voucher tab at checkout.

Select the gift voucher as your chosen payment method and the value will automatically be deducted from the overall cost of your order.

Option 2 - Enter your Gift Voucher code at checkout.

When you get to checkout, select the Promo/Student Code or Voucher tab and enter your 16-digiti voucher code. The total amount will automatically be deducted from your order.

How can I purchase an RUMAH MODE gift voucher?

The good news is that buying a gift voucher is easy - just decide who you want to send it to, how much you want to spend and when you want the lucky person to get it!

What currencies can I purchase a voucher in?

Gift vouchers can be bought in a selection of local currencies including euro's and dollar's depending on what browse country flag you have selected in the top right corner of the page.

The gift voucher can only be spent when shopping on the same browsing country as where it was purchased, even if the same currency is accepted in another country.

They can use the whole voucher at once or just part of it.

When will the gift voucher be sent?

It can take up to 24 hours for the gift voucher to be sent after you've placed your order.

We can send the voucher through to them up to three months after you've bought it, using the email address you give us.

When does the gift voucher expire?

How do I place an order?

Placing an order couldn't be easier, simply follow these steps.

  1. Click Add to bag to place the item you want to buy in your bag.
  2. Once you have finished shopping, click on the bag icon to view the items in your bag and to pay. This will appear on the bottom of the screen on the app and the top right hand side of the screen for desktop. If you're happy with the items in your bag, click Checkout.
  3. Enter your email address and password or if you're a new customer, register now. You will then be taken to the Confirm and Pay page.
  4. Review and confirm the items in your order.
  5. If you have a promo code or voucher to spend, you'll need to enter this under the Promo/Student Code or Vouchers tab.
  6. Confirm your delivery address and delivery method.
  7. Confirm your payment method and Place Order.

An email confirmation will be sent to your registered email address to let you know your order details. It's worth checking RUMAH MODE is marked as a safe sender in your email account or checking your junk mail as our emails may be routed there automatically.

When will I be charged for my order?

The time at which you'll be charged for your order will depend on the payment method you selected at checkout.

If your card is not authorised, payment will not be taken, and we'll email to let you know your bank or card issuer wouldn't authorise the payment.

Please remember that even if a payment isn't authorised, it may look like RUMAH MODE has still taken the money as some card issuers may still reserve the money, for a short period of time.

How can I pay for my order?

You can use any of the payment types listed below to pay for your order. We take your security very seriously, therefore your details are safe with us.

We also take fraud very seriously too, so all credit and debit card holders are subject to validation and authorisation by both us and the card issuer.

To add a payment method to your account and pay for your order, please follow the below steps:

To add your card details, just login to your account and click on 'Payment methods'.

From here, you can add your payment details and save them to your account.

Step 3

When you come to pay for your order, you can select one of your saved payment methods to pay for your order.

If you don't want to save your payment details to your account, then you can also enter them when you come to pay for your order. If there is no payment details saved to your account, then you'll be asked to enter them when you click ‘Pay Now'.

What currencies can I use to place an order?

You can pay using various currencies depending on the country you're shopping from.

How do I change my currency?

If you click on the flag icon in the top right corner of the page, the currency for your country will show in the "Currency" section.

If more than one currency is available, all of our prices will be displayed in the currency you select.

What currency will I be charged in?

When you come to pay for your order, you'll be charged in the currency you have selected. If your payment card is registered with a different currency to the one you're purchasing in, then your bank will convert the price using their exchange rate.

Can I buy Gift Vouchers in my currency?

You can pay for RUMAH MODE gift vouchers using various currencies. If you click on the flag icon in the top right corner of the page, you can change the browse country and the currency for that country will show in the "Currency" section.

If you have received a gift voucher, make sure that when you spend it you select the same browse country flag in the top right corner of the page and same currency to spend it in.

Will I be charged International Bank Fees when ordering?

It's possible you may be charged an international transaction fee by your bank if you're shopping outside the UK - this charge comes directly from your bank and is outside of our control.

We can't guarantee that when you place your order you will or won't be charged a fee. However, we've found that customers who shop with us in their own local currency seem to be less likely to be charged bank fees.

We're working behind the scenes to look at ways to reduce the likelihood of being charged international transaction fees.

We're always improving and are looking to offer some new payment methods over the coming months, as well as improving our existing ones. We hope this will reduce the impact and any costs of these charges.

Until that time, when you shop on RUMAH MODE - we'd suggest using your local currency if possible.

My payment was declined, what should I do?

  1. Place your order again
  2. If your payment has been declined, then you'll need to place your order again. We're not able to reinstate an order once the payment has been declined.

If we're unable to validate your order, we may get in touch to ask for a little more information from you.

How to apply a promo code

  1. Enter the promo code at checkout
  2. You need to enter the code exactly as it was given to you, without any spaces. Type or copy and paste the code into the 'Promo/Student code' box.

  3. Make sure you click 'Apply code'
  4. Once you've entered the code, click on 'Apply Code' and it will add the code to your order. When the code has been applied to your order, you'll see the promo value and the total of your order will change to reflect the code.

You must enter the discount/promo code when you are checking out as it can't be applied later.

Can I get a refund if the price has changed since I ordered it?

As an online business our prices change in response to fashion trends, stock and demand from customers. In this case we will not refund the difference.

What is sales tax?

The Basics

Sales Tax is charged on items shipped to the US. In States where RUMAH MODE has an obligation to collect, you'll see sales tax applied to your order, which will be correct for the delivery address that you've selected.

You won't have to pay Sales Tax on Gift Vouchers or Premier Delivery but you may have to pay Sales Tax on any delivery charges you pay.

How much is sales tax?

Sales tax is calculated on the total of your order, after discount. The amount of tax charged to your order depends on your delivery address. The tax is calculated based on state rates and the items you are purchasing. We'll always show you how much Sales Tax you'll be charged when you go to checkout.

The Sales Tax shown at checkout will be for your default address so this may change if you change your delivery address.

What about sales tax holidays?

We'll always reflect any changes in Sales Tax to honour State Tax holidays. If there's a Sales Tax holiday then it will show at the checkout as zero when you select your delivery address.

Sales tax holidays may only apply to specific items, so tax may still be calculated on items if they do not qualify.

If you return your item for a refund the Sales Tax will also be refunded back to your original payment method.
